Costume Contest

Each year at the end of October, LFA organizes a party for the students and a costume contest. Parents or members of the community serve as judges to select the best costume in each class. It is always a very fun event for the children and the parents also enjoy it by taking pictures and even sometimes dressing up too !

Spelling Bee

Once a year, LFA organizes an academic competition called a “spelling bee”. The students of each elementary class (1st-5th grades) are divided in two teams and spell words in French, English and Spanish. The children are enthusiastic and it is a good experience for everyone to learn about being part of a group.

Dance Recital

The Dance Recital is both thrilling and captivating. The choreographies are splendid and imaginative. The audience goes through a gamut of emotions from happiness, to curiosity, surprise, & excitement as the students from PK4 to 5th grade perform.

LFA is full of talented students, teachers and parents and as a learning community, we would like to invite all of you to discover, explore, learn and play. This year was full of challenges, trials, accomplishments, reflections and grace. These experiences make LFA real and students, teachers and parents get to experience life as it is in all its grandeur and imperfections. As LFA is experiencing the struggles inherent to good growth, the expression “growing pains” comes to mind and reminds us that nothing comes easy. Moreover, as we embark on this long, exciting, unpredictable, difficult and fulfilling journey of educating our children; thus preparing them for life, let us not forget that,

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give" – Winston Churchill

We thank all of you for giving us the opportunity to make a difference in your children’s life and hope to see you again next year for another adventure.
